The C-Section suite on the 4th floor, adjacent to the Maternity wing, was a 2,600 sq. ft. renovation/vertical expansion constructed in a very challenging location within the hospital. Constructed through the winter, the project team overcame many challenges, including building over an occupied area of the hospital and dealing with some existing structural/aged facility conditions. Completed in April 2023, with DOH approval granted in May 2023, the new women’s surgical suite enhances patients’ safety and stands ready to welcome and care for patients with precision and comfort.
