Hayner Hoyt Brings Home Two ABC Awards for 2026

Last night, The Hayner Hoyt Corporation was proud to be recognized with two awards at the ABC Empire State Chapter Construction Excellence Awards, held at the historic Otesaga Resort Hotel on the shores of Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY. It was an evening of celebration and well-earned recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder of the teams who made it possible.

An Award Worth Celebrating

The Construction Excellence Awards are among the highest honors a contractor can receive in New York State. Each year, the ABC Empire State Chapter reviews submissions from construction firms across the state, from Buffalo to Long Island, all vying for recognition in their respective categories. Being selected among the finest projects statewide is a meaningful distinction, one that speaks to the craftsmanship, safety standards, collaboration, and disciplined execution that define a project from the ground up. It’s a recognition that reflects not just on a finished building, but on every individual who contributed to bringing it to life.

Homer Family Practice Takes the Healthcare Category

Our Homer Family Practice project brought home the win in the Healthcare category, a category that’s especially meaningful to us given how much trust and precision go into building spaces where people receive care. Representing the project on stage were Project Manager Stephen Proietta and Superintendent Eric Metzger, two team members who poured countless hours into making sure this project came together the right way, safely and on schedule.

Point Place Casino’s 2025 Expansion Wins Commercial

We also took home top honors in the Commercial category for the Point Place Casino 2025 Expansion. Accepting the award for that team were Project Manager Conor Utter and Superintendent Vinnie Mowers, whose leadership helped deliver a complex, high-profile project to a fantastic result.

Congratulations to both project teams. This recognition belongs to every trade partner, every crew member, and every person behind the scenes who helped make these projects a success.

Getting to Cooperstown in style was part of the fun. Hayner Hoyt sent a crew of team members up together in a limo bus, turning the trip itself into a celebration. We believe that when our people go the extra mile on a job site, they deserve to be celebrated the same way, together, in style, and with genuine appreciation.
