St. Joseph’s Honors Supporters at Appreciation Breakfast

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center Foundation paid tribute to supporters at the 24th annual St. Joseph’s Day Appreciation Breakfast March 19 at The Genesee Grande Hotel in Syracuse. St. Joseph’s hosts the breakfast annually to recognize major supporters and advocates of the hospital.
St. Joseph the Worker awards were presented to Luis Castro, MD, medical director for primary care and pediatrics for St. Joseph’s Primary Care Center – West; Thomas H. Dennison, PhD, director of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion at Syracuse University; Marilyn Higgins, vice president of community engagement and economic development at Syracuse University; Paul Nojaim, Nojaim Brothers Supermarket; and Jeremy Thurston, president of Hayner Hoyt Corporation. St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center is a non-profit, 431-bed hospital and health care system in Syracuse, N.Y., providing services to patients in 16 counties in Central New York State. Through prevention programs and the latest diagnostic treatment procedures, St. Joseph’s works with patients to achieve optimum long-term health. A 15-time winner of the National Research Corporation Consumer Choice award, St. Joseph’s is affiliated with Franciscan Companies and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis.
