SCOPE
The Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 513-bed skilled nursing facility in Syracuse, NY. Van Duyn is committed to providing quality care and diversified services with a focus on treating each resident as a whole person in a homelike environment. This 26,000 square foot renovation was to the seventh floor wing that had previously been shut down and included structural improvements to recovery, therapy, and all patient rooms with new flooring, wall coverings, tiles, and fixtures. Several of the bathrooms were also enlarged and included dramatic upgrades. The space includes a new nurse’s station, administrative space, a new kitchen, and a fully intact SMART car to assist with patient rehabilitation. The lounge includes several architectural details including a two-sided fireplace. We finished the project on time and under budget.
