SCOPE
This 25,000 square foot addition contains classrooms, a full-service kitchen, and a gymnasium on the first floor with a preschool area on the basement level. The addition was built on poor soil conditions using timber piles, poured concrete walls, structural steel frames with acoustic decking, and masonry walls with a brick/split-face block veneer. This addition was completed two months ahead of schedule and won a Gold Medal for excellence in masonry design and installation from the Central New York Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
