SCOPE
We served as Construction Manager for a 75,000 square foot addition and renovation to INFICON’s East Syracuse facility. As a leading provider of instrumentation, sensor technologies and advanced process control software, the $20 million dollar expansion included offices, warehouse space, and expansive cleanrooms for use in manufacturing particle sensors, thin film sensors and AMS. This project required comprehensive BIM coordination for mechanical systems due to the complexity of highly pressure sensitive HVAC and process gas systems. The Building Management System (BMS) was designed and installed to monitor the stringent tolerances allowed for room temperature, pressure and humidity within the cleanrooms.
We also coordinated extensive pre-construction site work and environmental studies. Finished site work included additional parking lots and a storm water retention system.
