POMEROY EMERGENCY SERVICES
DEPARTMENT - PHASE 1

SCOPE

As part of a $38 million renovation project, phase one of the Pomeroy Emergency Services Department included a significant expansion and modernization of the old Emergency Department. The clinical space grew from 7,800 to nearly 21,000 square feet and features an increased number of private patient treatment rooms, color-coded caregiver stations, the most advanced CT technology and more.

Working in a health care facility is different from working in any other environment because construction takes place in or near patient care areas. Special precautions and attention must be paid to running a clean, contained site that minimizes any interruption to care services. We have six Certified Healthcare Constructors on staff that add value to all of our healthcare projects. We’re currently working on phase two at Crouse, moving PromptCare adjacent to the main emergency room to better address who requires immediate critical care.
