SCOPE
The need for behavioral health services has grown in recent years which brought about the need for Cayuga Medical Center to expand their existing facility. This 6,000 sf second-floor addition above the existing maternity ward includes patient rooms, a group therapy room, dining, and social spaces. The space was designed to encourage peer interaction and facilitate regular activity with open common spaces and a wellness room for fitness activities. The expansive windows provide a welcome view of nearby Cayuga Lake and the surrounding greenery. We're moving ahead with phase 2, pushing into the existing behavioral health wing on the second floor to renovate 12,300 sf of seclusion rooms, support stations, and patient rooms.
