SCOPE

As part of extensive Carrier Dome renovations, we constructed a storm water retention system and made infrastructure improvements to utilize water collected from the roof as graywater in half the facility. The system consists of two exterior 25,000 gallon bulk storage tanks and two interior 4,500 gallon day tanks that hold rainwater captured from the Carrier Dome’s roof. The tanks hold enough water to flush half the Dome’s toilets and urinals during major sporting events. The anaerobic, chlorinated filtration system ensures the water is suitable for existing systems. Over 1,000 feet of piping was installed along with an interactive educational kiosk to engage guests of the facility.
