June Safety Bucks Winner
It’s no secret the construction industry can be dangerous and that’s why safety is our number one priority. It’s a company-wide effort and a commitment from every single employee to engage in safe practices that protect themselves and their fellow laborers from undue harm. We designed a safety rewards program to recognize employees that go above and beyond in the field and ensure that we’re living up to one of our core values: Provide a safe work place so everyone returns home safely.
Congratulations to Project Superintendent Bob Young, the winner of June's Safety Bucks drawing for a $100 Home Depot gift card. We received 11 nominations last month for various acts contributing to the safety of our employees and our job sites. Project Engineer Conor Utter nominated Bob for his quick response to an emergency at Point Place Casino:
"Two weeks ago, on a very hot afternoon, our super Bob Young witnessed a Turning Stone landscaping employee stumble and collapse due to dehydration and heat exhaustion. Bob acted immediately, contacting medical services as well as the Point Place security team. He provided support to the gentleman while they waited for an ambulance.
The landscaper has since recovered and returned to work."
Way to go, Bob!
