Hayner Hoyt Works with the Rescue Mission to Transform Property

On Wednesday, September 9 the Rescue Mission and The Hayner Hoyt Corporation hosted the grand opening of a renovated house that provided a home for three formerly homeless men. The jointly led Community Build to End Homelessness project refurbished the house at 122 Granger Street. The Rescue Mission purchased the property, adjacent to its Syracuse campus, from the Greater Syracuse Land Bank.

Volunteers completed nearly all of the extensive renovations to the home, and most of the construction material was donated. The project was supported by the United Way of Central New York’s Corporate Volunteer Council and Young Leaders group.
