SCOPE
Benton Hall is part of a $60 million building investment to enhance the student experience at Colgate University. The 17,600 sf LEED Platinum facility is the new home of the Center for Career Services and the Office of National Fellowships and Scholarships. The building boasts an ornate vestibule and welcoming reception area. With high-end finishes throughout, our carpenters performed all millwork, including the installation of a decorative three-piece crown molding. Dark granite stairs complemented by brass handled railings, coffered ceilings, recessed lighting and concealed door openers all work to create a space that is both functional and beautiful. The exterior is comprised of a fluid membrane, layers of foam and fiberglass insulation, and finished with bluestone and cast stone. Offset by triple-pane windows from Germany, the facility implements a steam and chilled water heating/cooling system accompanied by an energy recovery ventilation system.
