In Phase 2 at St. James Episcopal Church we addressed accessibility issues with the construction of a stone-sided, handicap accessible entry and addition to the building.
Phase I renovations for St. James Episcopal Church, located in Skaneateles, NY, included rehabilitation of the basement gathering space and chapel, HVAC and mechanical system upgrades, substantial restoration of the nave and sanctuary including a new entry, new flooring, decorative scheme, and expanded altar and chancel space.

This 25,000 square foot addition contains classrooms, a full-service kitchen, and a gymnasium on the first floor with a preschool area on the basement level. The addition was built on poor soil conditions using timber piles, poured concrete walls, structural steel frames with acoustic decking, and masonry walls with a brick/split-face block veneer. This addition was completed two months ahead of schedule and won a Gold Medal for excellence in masonry design and installation from the Central New York Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
